The Biodynamic approach to Craniosacral Therapy is grounded in a perceptual awareness of primary life forces at work in the human system. As a practitioner Jeffrey S. Lewis is interested in how he can form a relationship with these forces that would be helpful to the client. This requires a deep, wide sense of listening.
Some other principles of this approach are: to develop an ability to be present and receptive, to develop an ability to sense primary respiration, (the indicator of inherent health), both in his own system, and then in the client’s, to be able to develop a negotiated relational field with appropriate attentional distance to the client, and keep a non-engaging mind.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a very specific, personal, and intimate therapeutic service. There is a short intake for new clients, and Jeffrey often suggests a series of visits, 3 to 6 because there is not usually a quick resolution to the conditions present. However, there are immediate results, like a deep relaxation and a down regulating of the nervous system. $95.00 per session, not time specific, but sessions usually last 50 minutes to 1 hour or until all parties come to present time.
