Information & Referral Program Volunteer
access nantucket is seeking a self-motivated, hard-working volunteer to support our Information & Referral Program. Volunteer will work closely and report to our Manager of Information & Referral Services. Duties will include: researching health & wellness organizations serving Nantucket, compiling and managing spreadsheets, outreach efforts on behalf of the Information & Referral Program, and data entry into a WordPress website. Must have basic understanding of Excel, ability to work independently, transportation, and internet & email access. Must be professional, have strong written & verbal communication skills, and a passion for health & wellness. WordPress and social media knowledge a plus.
The position can be split amongst multiple volunteers so if you are interested in any portion please call 508.228.3955. Portions of this opportunity allow volunteer to work from home, however weekly meeting at access nantucket are a must. This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity that will evolve with our program and has the ability to transition into an internship with the right candidate.
Special Events Volunteers
access nantucket is currently seeking self-motivated, hard-working volunteers to support our Marketing Manager and Development Coordinator with our 2015 special events! These volunteers will work closely with the access nantucket staff within a variety of categories, including but not limited to: administrative support, community outreach, folding and/or cutting event materials such as brochures and pamphlets, stuffing and addressing envelopes, event setup and take-down, physical carrying and/or transport of materials weighing up to 20 lbs. or more, and registration assistance on event days.
Volunteers must have the ability to take a hands-on approach when tackling assigned tasks, and must have reliable transportation and contact information. A working knowledge of Excel is preferred. Volunteers will possess a history of punctuality and reliability, as well as strong written and verbal communicative skills, and must prosper working within a fast paced environment.

Office Administration Volunteer
access nantucket is currently seeking part-time, hard-working volunteers to support our Office Manager with daily office administrative tasks. The volunteer will work closely with the Office Manager to help complete daily operational tasks including: phone answering, mail distribution, greeting appointments as they come in, scheduling initial and follow-up appointments, and support office organization and tidiness.
The ideal volunteer candidates must have exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills and must possess a naturally pleasant and professional demeanor. access nantucket provides personally sensitive and confidential services to Island residents and visitors; volunteer discretion is of the utmost importance and a confidentiality agreement will be signed upon volunteer procurement.
